Re: Prescott advice to Livingstone, (various reports, The Independent etc.).
Sir/Madam,
So, John Pressconn, sorry Prescott, advises Livingstone "..NOT TO TAKE A
WALK...into the wilderness" and run ( yes, 'RUN'!! ) as an independent. Ever
the wily wordsmith, stepping right in it.
Yes, maybe he should instead choose to be chauffeur-driven in a freebie Jag or Rover
- by all accounts they're SO cosy you just don't notice the hatred and
contempt outside or even the 'word on the street'. Besides, a wilderness has its attractions - it is at least
both gridlock AND smog-free - the kind of rarified atmosphere
indeed that a few millenia ago enabled an even more illustrious outcast to
cleanse his tortured soul and mount an unrivalled and truly miraculous
comeback.
My advice to Prescott - and most of the nation would seem to echo this
plea: "For pity's sake, for the novelty value alone,JUST TAKE a walk -
ANYWHERE! Take care though that it's always in the "RIGHT" direction..."
